I had the pleasure of meeting Andrea and Daryl at our Studio's Open House last Fall where I was able to talk to them (a little) about their need for spectacular invitations. I was so happy when she got in touch not long after that and we started to discuss the possibilities for designs.
Believe it or not, what she originally proposed was a simple wreath design. While I did some designs in that vein, of course, I decided to kick things up a notch – based on their personality, event details, decór and style, I took to my trusty watercolors with brush in hand. Playing with her chosen colors, I came up with loose peony designs to base a suite on.
They loved it. And the typography practically designed itself, it fell into the layout so easily. I was thrilled for them, the design was such a success from the get-go!
After some minor detail checking, music selections and house party confirmations – the designs were set to print. Ahead of schedule, no less! (I love it when that happens.)
